ReadyNation worked with executives in Mexico to encourage increased private sector support for early childhood as a business issue that impacts workforce development and the economy.
The FEMSA Foundation, in partnership with RNI, mounted a private event for business leaders in Mexico City on October 22, 2019. The special convening – Business, Families Human Capital: Advantages of Investing Early – gathered executives from more than 25 companies across Mexico to learn more about early childhood and youth human capital as a business issue critical to workforce development and the economy. The event featured a prominent U.S. pediatrician and author to discuss brain science developments, an American business leader, a panel of Mexican corporations covering family-friendly policies as well as a research report release from IMCO highlighting company actions that benefit Mexican employees and local communities. Other supporters of the event included CMN and CitiBanamex. One of the speakers, a retired KPMG executive based in the U.S., also authored a blog post-event on early childhood as a global workforce imperative.
